Trillium Park Surprise Proposal

Photographing proposals is literally my favourite thing. Thinking about it, I think I make that very same statement every time I write a post about one. But it’s so true! I was so excited when I heard from Lorenzo about the proposal he was planning for this girlfriend, Daniella. He had it all planned out and even booked a flight from Billy Bishop Airport to Niagara Falls for a romantic getaway. Daniella is super into airplanes so it made so much sense! However, the only thing he was struggling with was the perfect proposal location. That’s where I came in. He was looking for something with an amazing view of the Toronto skyline. I immediately thought of Trillium Park, a place I had photographed an engagement session at before. And if it couldn’t get any better then that the park is right across the water from the runaway.

I’m so glad he went with the suggestion as he ended up finding a dock that was perfectly located grabbing a view of both the CN tower and the National Yacht Club. After a very happy and emotional “Yes!” from Daniella we proceeded to create day of engagement photos. I love working with couples that have just got engaged because they are absolutely oozing with happiness and cannot contain their love for each other. It’s not easy to tell but this photoshoot actually going started at 7 am. Coming from Oshawa and Barrie we had all woken super early to arrive in the city. However, it was amazing to have completely free rein of the park as it seemed like the whole city (minus those crazy joggers) were fast asleep.

To add to this amazing day it was also Daniella’s birthday. Talk about a day to remember! Thank you very much L + D for honouring me with the privilege to witness and capture this beautiful moment in your relationship. Happy wedding planning! 🙂
