Maternity Photography Toronto
I got to know Tara + Matt after I started dating my partner Mike. Mike and Matt met in high school and have been great friends ever since. After many get togethers at their big home I couldn’t help but wonder when they were going to add to their family. I knew they wanted kids but I didn’t know they had a few struggles along the way. I was so excited for them when I heard they were expecting. Even more so when they asked me capture their maternity photography Toronto. What an honour! It was so nice to share this experience because with COVID we hadn’t seen each other in a year. Mike also came along for the drive so he could say hello. I’m happy to report that baby Nate was born happy and healthy only one month after this shoot. I am so looking forward to the opportunity to safely meet their little one!

We had such a great time making these photos together. They hadn’t done a photoshoot since their wedding day 5 years ago which I am so grateful I got to attend. My favourite photos from this session are the ones in which Tara is playing around on the windy beach in her beautiful black maternity gown. They really speak to me of the authentic excitement of awaiting the life you created with your love. I really enjoy creating maternity photography because it’s very similar to engagement photoshoots. However, they’re celebrating a different life milestone. The latter celebrates the love you have found together and the other the product of that deep, unconditional love. I am forever grateful to all of those that trust me to document the most precious moments of their lives. No matter the year, my clients can look back over the amazing journey they’ve traversed together.
