Distillery District Engagement Photos in Winter
On November 21st, 2020, Gordon and Miranda headed to the Distillery District in Toronto for a “work event”. At least that was the story Gordon was selling to Miranda. They were actually about to have Distillery district engagement photos made. Why was he lying you ask? Well because today was the day he was going to ask her the big question. If she would spend the rest of her life by his side. When they arrived they took a detour to see the Love Locks as many people do. Suddenly, Gordon got down on one knee and pulled out her ring after telling her how much she means to him. She was obviously so happy and said “Yes!” excitedly. After I congratulated them and we started their shoot I asked Miranda if she was caught by surprise. Miranda giggled as she told me that Gordon is a notoriously bad liar. So yes her womanly senses were tingling that something was about to happen. Either way, it didn’t ruin the moment at all. She said it’s not something she’d ever change about him anyway. She loves him unconditionally right!

These two met online and hit it off in thier first few messages so they set up a date. Gordon picked a local bar but when they showed up it was closed for a private event. Gordon had a little inner freak out going on but Miranda cooly suggested to just hit up the one next door. Ever since that first date, the couple has been a part of each other’s lives. Gordon can’t point to an exact moment where he knew Miranda was the one. It was all the moments of laughter, support, and encouragement to grow that built up over time. After a few months, he knew for sure that there was no one else he’d want to spend his life with. Not only was it important that their big life milestone was captured Miranda also has family overseas. It’s such a treat to also be able to share your exciting moment with your family and friends via your engagement photography. Creating these photos with this couple was so much fun and I’m so happy with what we captured.
