Surprise Proposal | Ajax Wedding Photographer
When Cody contacted me wanting to propose to his girlfriend Kim at Rotary Park, Ajax I was super excited. I hadn’t been to this beautiful location for a shoot before. That’s the awesome thing about being a photographer. You discover so many new places thanks to your clients. I’m definitely going to recommend this place to others in the future! I had corresponded with Cody for a few weeks regarding his shoot as he lives all the way in Texas! Working around COVID made it interesting but I’m so glad that everything came together. I waited behind a big tree as the couple battled the cold wins on the trail towards the beach. Cody asked the big question while a huge smile grew on Kim’s face. She responded with a very happy “Yes!”. Of course!

After they had a moment to embrace I came up with an excited “Congrats!” and introduced myself. We hit it off right away and got talking about Texas. I travelled solo to Marfa for a photography festival 2 years ago. It’s not too far from where Cody lives. It was so nice hanging out with these two at this perfect location. It was also so cool to learn that they met many years ago on World of Warcraft. This explains the huge distance currently between where they both live. Kim is so looking forward to their wedding day and moving to Texas to spend the rest of her life with Cody always by her side. These two were so amazing to work with and I’m really thrilled about the photos we created. You can really tell how playful and in love with each other they are. I am so grateful that this incredible couple chose me to capture their special moment.
