Scarborough Bluffs Engagement Photos | Grace + Jon

When Grace reached out to me to photograph their Scarborough Bluffs engagement photos I was so excited. I have to say we almost had too much fun! There was so much giggling, playing around and getting to know each other. I am so proud of the photos we created together. Grace and Jon met at a young age at church. They had an instant connection and became good friends. After high school, Jon was set to go to Ireland for 4 years for medical school. Grace was one of his friends that he kept in contact with most. For a couple of years, their friendship became video calls and working out a time to call with the time differences. However, on visits back to Canada for holidays, the pair would always plan to meet up. Over these visits and many calls, they discovered there was something more. As everyone knows long-distance is hard so the couple discussed and considered if it was right before they dove in.

In the end, they decided they were serious about each other and would pull through the 2 years apart. A couple of years later when the couple was living in the same country Jon decided it was time to ask Grace to marry him. What Jon loves about Grace is that she is also building a career in medicine, her deep care for others, and how she can easily connect with people. When moving back from school in Kingston Jon planned to propose. It was super unique and planned to happen in a parking lot with Grace’s friends. As they walked up Grace saw the “Will you marry me?” sign they were holding and thought they were accidentally crashing someone else’s proposal. She didn’t realize it was her friends holding the signs because they were wearing their face masks! Of course, Grace happily said “Yes!”
