Pickering Engagement Photos

Mackenzie and Jonny’s Pickering engagement photos session was only the second shoot I had back after another lockdown. It was the beginning of a doubleheader wedding weekend so I was grateful to meet up with them and shake off the dust. These two were absolutely incredible to work with. Even though Jonny is on the quiet side you could really tell how deep his love is for his girl. It was really touching for me to watch his subtle emotions and see pure bliss and admiration in his eyes. While creating photos of couples full of laughter and having fun this was a nice change. Of course, it was an exact representation of who is he which I would never change. My job is to adjust to the true dynamics of each relationship. Not to try and make unique people fit into certain boxes.

Mackenzie and Jonny met at a get-together of mutual friends. Mac started flirting right away Jonny is rather quiet but he instantly connected with Mackenzie and how “crazy” she was. The couple loves getting outdoors and having adventures together. Their perfect day would include road tripping up to the cottage, going fishing, cooking dinner together, and then sitting around the campfire to complete the day. They love laughing and joking around together. The two really balance out each other’s personalities with Mackenzie being very outgoing and Jonny being shy at first. Mackenzie says that Jonny’s thoughtful and observant nature helps her realistically evaluate her dreams which helps her become the best version of herself. I am so grateful to have documented their love and am so in love with the photos we created together.
