Mississauga Family Photographer
I first met Alix + Chris at their consultation for their wedding. I was still fairly new to the profession but they trusted me fully in capturing their wedding day. What struck and stayed with me about this couple was how selfless and kind they were. Alix was always making sure everyone had what they needed and were doing okay. What I remember most about Chris on his wedding day at Balzac’s Coffee in Toronto was that he baked the wedding cake. I thought that was such a unique and refreshing way to add a personal touch to your day. Anyway, that was 3 years ago. I kept in touch with the couple casually via Insta and was so excited for them when they announced they were expecting. I was even more thrilled when I heard from Alix about hiring me as their Mississauga family photographer.

She bought a gift card that she would give to Chris on Father’s Day. However, as you know, COVID hit and made things awkward. I was forced to shut down many times and Alix works in a hospital. Therefore, it took some time for us to be able to schedule their session. So low and behold a year later, on Father’s Day we finally got to meet up and hang out. It was so awesome to see them again and meet their little one Ollie, who they mentioned was coming up to his terrible twos. That may have explained his constant need to run around. This made my life a little harder but my documentary style lends itself well to his free nature. I loved being able to photograph another milestone in this couple’s life and I hope I get many more opportunities to do so.
