Durham Region Family Photographers | At Home Family Session
I have known this family since meeting their son, Frank, in our high school animation class. We became fast friends as we bonded over our love for art and our hope to become creative professionals in our future. Well the future is here and guess what?! I’m a Durham region family photographer and Frank is a tattoo artist! I find it so cool that we’ve been able to see each other grow and work to achieve our goals. Obviously because I am friends with Frank and have known him so long, I also got to know his family. His sister, Deanna, got married a few years ago and was looking forward to adding to the family. Therefore, along came her adorable baby, Shyla. I was so excited when Deanna messaged me to set up family photos. Not only would I be able to hang out with their awesome family again but I would be capturing a beautiful moment in their family history.

We had so much fun and shared so many laughs as the little one made cute faces. It was also incredible to have the whole immediate family present. It enabled us to capture all the unique relationships and them making special moments together. I particularly love some of the silly shots we got with Skyla and her grandparents. However, my favourite photo is of proud uncle Frank snuggling the little one so lovingly. What made the session even more perfect was that the couple wanted it to be laid back and natural. My favourite! I’ve discovered that I really love capturing new parents adoring and cuddling their baby. I can’t wait to work with more young families this summer!
