Featured Moment
As we stood in the winter chill on the balcony overlooking bare trees Chris and I chatted as we waited. At any moment Amy would walk through the door. His self assured and relaxed persona seemed to fall away as his first look approached. I asked him how he was feeling followed by “Do you think you’ll get emotional?” As he pondered the questions tears rushed to his eyes. A silent yet unmistakable answer. His mind’s image of Amy ready to marry him bubbled to the surface. As he laughed it off Amy stepped outside. Finally, his eyes met hers and he melted. So many tears for joy, for gratitude, and for the knowing. The knowing that this absolutely stunning and kindhearted woman of strength that came into his heart 9 years ago would reside there for life.
The tears didn’t end here. Amy + Chris shared so many touching moments with their family. I am so immensely grateful to share in such beautiful moments + be trusted to capture them.
See Amy + Chris’ engagement session.
Amy + Chris started their day at Novotel in Vaughan. They spent the morning getting ready and hanging out with their friends. My favourite moment of the morning was when Amy’s father Kevin saw her for the first time. They shared an amazing, emotional moment before heading over to Kortright Centre for Conservation. Next came another tear-jerking first look. This time for Chris. When he saw his bride he let it all flow. After cleaning himself up we had so much fun laughing and joking through their family and wedding party photos. When it came time for their couple photos we played around and I even got Chris whispering flirtious nothings in Amy’s ear… with an Australian accent! They’re going to Australia for their honeymoon. 😛 These two were the best! The whole day was a blast and I particularly loved watching the two of them tear up the dancefloor as night fell.
