Whispering Springs
Whispering Springs is a stunning and unique example of forest wedding venues Ontario. It is located 90 minutes from Toronto. It’s the perfect place for the outdoorsy couple looking to be surrounded by nature on their wedding day. Two hundred acres of farmland and wilderness to be exact. What I love about this venue is that you can turn your one-day event into a weekend getaway for you and your guests.
Venue Fees
Friday and Sunday: $10,800
Saturday: $12,800
Venue Fee Includes:
- Forest Chapel Ceremony for 120 guests
- 20 ft by 40 ft Dance Pavilion
- 30 ft by 60 ft Reception Pavilion

Additional Fees
While the venue provides the bar and bar staff, catering is not included. Additional fees are also required for the bar. The all-inclusive bar is $75 per guest for 7 hours of service. Consumption and cash bars are also available if you have a specific budget in mind. Don’t stress that they don’t have an on-site caterer. It’s so freeing to choose your own catering service or truck instead of having to be stuck with the venue’s menus!
Guest Accommodations
Who says your wedding should just be one day? Spend a fun-filled weekend with your guests to enjoy the hot tubs, pool, sauna, beach volleyball, badminton, and campfires. This venue offers a wide range of accommodations for your guests from mini tents to cabins. These accommodations range in price from $259 to $399 per night.
Kortright Centre for Conservation
The Kortright Centre is located 30 minutes north of Toronto in Vaughan, Ontario. Even though it’s located in a built-up city this venue boasts 345 acres of stunning scenery. You can hold your ceremony in their glass-walled gazebo which gives greenhouse vibes. You can also choose a fully outdoor ceremony and get married amongst the trees. Their reception space has large windows overlooking the forest but you can also have your reception outdoors. This is a great venue for those looking for an easy one-stop shop as they also provide catering.
Pricing
Saturday (May – October): $199 per guest with a 100-guest minimum with a 7-hour bar
Sunday + Friday (May – October): $179 per guest with an 80-guest minimum with a 7-hour bar
Pathways on Pleasure Valley
Hidden amongst rolling hills and horse riding trails is a quaint little venue in Uxbridge, Ontario. This space is awesome for a couple looking to hold an intimate wedding but it does have the capability to host more guests outdoors or under a reception tent. The indoor space can hold 70 guests. They don’t offer catering but have a complete professional kitchen for the catering company of your choice to use. However, this off-the-grid wedding venue is only available from May – October.
Algonquin Park
Algonquin Park is known around the world as a massive and extraordinary wilderness park 3 hours from the hustle and bustle of Toronto. This park offers many different options for couples looking to connect with nature on their wedding day. I have to say in my opinion, this is one of the most exciting choices on this list of forest wedding venues Ontario. You can host a small intimate day or make it an all-weekend celebration. This is also an incredible option for those looking for an elopement filled with adventure. Just hire a photographer and take for the trails!
East Beach Picnic Pavilion
This venue is a wood-paneled covered picnic pavilion with the capability of 110 guests. You can also use half of the venue and host 55 guests. This space has fireplaces, heat, electricity, washrooms, and hot/cold water. The coat is $200/per day for full pavilion use. There is a small beach located beside the pavilion which you could use for your ceremony and wedding photos.
Arowhon Pines
Arowhon Pines is a rustic cottage-style resort on its own lake north of the popular park trails and campsites. Most of the cabins here have a view over the lake, a wood-burning fireplace, and a screened-in porch. You can exclusively book this venue so just you and your guests have the place to yourself. However, to do this you must book a minimum of 80 guests for a 2-night stay. Pricing varies by time of year but pricing for this starts at $77,000. (Meals, facilities, service charges, taxes included.) Of course, you can ask your guests to cover their expenses at a starting rate of $347 per night. Their total capacity is 120 guests.
Elope at Arowhon
Happy with just the two of you? Book their elopement package that includes a cabin, wedding cake, flowers, champagne, and witnesses. Just invite a photographer up to capture your vows and go on an adventure to create your wedding photos. Pricing starts at $1225 taxes included.
Ganaraska Forest Centre
Hold your ceremony in the Maple Valley surrounded by a stunning forest landscape. Glide down their large staircase as your partner awaits at the top of the aisle. There are so many great outdoorsy spots for your wedding photos including a cute little sugar shack. This venue can accommodate 200 guests when using both the Seminar Room and the Great Hall. You can also embrace the summer night and host your entire wedding outdoors.
Pricing
Full Weekend Exclusive: $7,700 plus taxes. This includes security, a commercial kitchen for your caterer, dorm rooms and suites, and ceremony and reception spaces.
The Carver’s Cottage
This quaint little ceremony venue is nestled in the countryside of Pickering, Ontario. It’s a beautiful spot for your forest wedding ceremony but doesn’t currently offer a reception space. However, there are plenty of spots to capture beautiful wedding images with your Durham Region wedding photographer. A great perk is that you have exclusive use of the property. The rental period is from 8 am – 6 pm.
Pricing: $3000 for the civil ceremony with church pew seating for 110 guests, use of the bridal suite, speaker, microphone for the officiant, and photography permit.
The Clearing
The Clearing is located in Shedden, Ontario which is located 30 minutes from London. The venue itself consists of one acre of space but is surrounded by 30 acres of forest. The one-acre space has a stunning outdoor dance floor, forest trails lined with string lights, a modern reception tent, and willow trees draping over a pond. To hold a wedding here on a Saturday they have a minimum guest count of 75. This venue doesn’t provide catering services but has a preferred caterer list. An additional $200 fee is due to bring in a different company.

Glen Oro Farms
Glen Oro Farms is an amazing and trendy forest wedding venue Ontario located 30 minutes northeast of Barrie. It has jaw-dropping modern facilities and nature-filled property. Their 4300 sq ft clear roofed tent (heated/cooled) with wood floors keeps you close to nature while protected from the elements. They offer two ceremony locations, a meadow overlooking a horse paddock lined with 150-year-old trees or their forest chapel amongst the pines. The capacity is 180 guests when seated indoors.

The contemporary and thoughtful wedding venue of 100 Acre Wood is located in the picturesque Prince Edward County. Just looking through their website you can tell how passionate and caring the owners will be about your big day. Even though the name suggests its size they are situated on 105 acres of farm field and protected wetland. Don’t be surprised if the local creatures like deer and foxes make an appearance. Their reception space is a beautifully modernized 2000 sq ft barn with warm wood and many windows. However, like most other forest wedding venues Ontario on this list not only can you have your ceremony outdoors but your reception as well.

They exclusively work with the catering company, Smashed Apple.

The Crowe in their name refers to the whimsical river that runs through the property. Their ceremony spot is set up right against the river whose banks are lined with trees. Stay close to the outdoors by holding your reception in their big white tent. The owners wanted to create a space that was the opposite of the vibes at a gold course or banquet hall. Escape the traditional wedding and connect deeply with the natural world.

This spot can accommodate up to 200 guests. This location is also a spa so why not spend the following day relaxing and getting pampered. On a nice summer day, you can have your reception on their large outdoor deck that accommodates 120 people. Alternatively, you can have your reception indoors in their banquet hall which seats 150.
