At Home Engagement Photos Toronto
When you think about home how do you feel? Comfortable, happy, loved, proud, secure? When photographing couples this is exactly how I believe they need to feel to achieve emotional images. The home, however, is often overlooked for a session. Deemed not trendy, not picturesque, not… enough. What does the future you really want documented? The trendy or the true story? In which space do you feel most connected with your partner? For Emaleigh and Michael, they wanted at home engagement photos in Toronto. They love spending quality time at home cooking one of their favourite meals, pasta! Apparently, M is the master chef and E is the master baker of the relationship. What an amazing mix! It was so cool watching them make it together from scratch. These two are such naturals in front of the camera and it’s so clear how completely in love they are.

These two first met at a mutual friend’s themed costume party. Their friend had a plan to hook them up on this interesting blind date by getting them to show up in the same costumes. Em is a nurse so they told Michael, a software engineer, to show up in scrubs as well. Turns out their friend is a talented match mater as they immediately hit it off. So well in fact that that was the day they became a couple. A few years later Michael put together an incredible proposal plan for a mountain top engagement in Switzerland. However, his plan was to happen in 2020 so unfortunately, he needed to make a new plan. I was so lucky that I also got to be there for their proposal moment. Next up, is their amazing wedding day at Steam Whistle this October!
