Whitby Christmas Backyard Wedding
When I first starting chatting with Haran about photographing their Whitby christmas backyard wedding it didn’t click with me who his wife to be was. But after they booked and filled out their information I noticed her full name and the ceremony address. It was the street I lived on during high school and I remember Victoria. We were in the same year at school and I remembered her as the super dedicated and talented runner that was always seen training on the street. It was so nice to learn that she remembered me as well. I am so grateful that I was recommended to her and that I had the opportunity to photograph their intimate Christmas time backyard wedding. This wedding happened during COVID so I was also honoured to be on of a important select few to be present.

Their day was so beautiful in its simplicity. The house was decorated with stunning Christmas decorations that made it feel so welcoming. The ceremony was to happen on the back porch in view of the massive pine trees adorned with colourful ornaments. Unfortunately, not every family member and friend could be there but they logged into the livestream. After the romantic ceremony, Victoria’s grandfather commented on how Haran had embraced her tightly the whole time. “There’s no denying how in love you are”. We all noticed it and it warmed my heart. They were so happy to be marrying each other no matter the circumstances. You could walk into a room with Victoria and Haran and know how deeply their love runs without them speaking a single word.
