Steam Whistle Brewery Wedding

By the time I captured Em and Michael’s Steam Whistle Brewery wedding photos, I was lucky enough to have worked with them three times before. We created beautiful, carefree couple photos in a provincial park for our first shoot. After covid forced Michael to replan his Swiss Alps proposal back to Toronto, he asked me to document the moment. Last but not least we created fun and casual engagement photos at their condo doing their favourite things. Making pasta from scratch and cuddling together with their cats. I love the idea of making engagement photos in a casual way in a place that the couple is already comfortable in. I’d rather create realistic and unique images of a relationship than choose a location and idea that’s maybe typical and overdone.

I was so excited for their wedding day at the beautiful and modern Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto. I hadn’t yet had the opportunity to shoot at this wedding venue. This venue is definitely at the top of my list now. More importantly, this couple and their families were absolutely amazing. They had a very sweet first look but when he stood waiting at the ceremony things seemed to become real for him. He inhaled deeply as he waited, eyes of love and excitement falling upon him. Emotion flooded his body as his vision blurred. He glanced over his shoulder, his brother looking like a dam about to burst. Next in line, his best friend, whom he owed the introduction of a lifetime. Smiling with gratitude, his ears suddenly filled with music. Time stopped as if the universe itself had gasped. Then there she was… the most beautiful woman in the world. Absolutely radiant, absolutely beaming, and so he wept.
