Royal Ashburn Wedding Photos

I first met Josie and Kirk for their engagement photos at Lynde Shores Conservation Area in Ajax. We had so much time hanging around by the lake creating photos together. I feel so lucky to have been able to hang out and build a connection with them before capturing their Royal Ashburn wedding photos. It makes them way more comfortable on their wedding day because they gain experience in the photo-making process. This couple’s wedding ceremony took place in Pickering at St Issac Joques Catholic Church which is just down the street from Kirk’s childhood home. Therefore, it was possible for him and his groomsmen to casually walk over to the ceremony. I love how tight and supportive of a friend group these two have. You could feel the love and excitement radiating around them all day.

After their ceremony, we travelled to Royal Ashburn Golf Club for their wedding photos and reception. This venue is one of my favourite in the Durham Region as I really love the ceremony gazebos and gardens they have for photos. There are a lot of beautiful options within short walking distance. I also love sneaking down to their pond at sunset. It feels like you’ve suddenly travelled to a northern wilderness. One of the services that this Oshawa wedding venue offers is a long firework display at the end of the night. I think this is such a fun activity to get everybody excited to start the party and also makes for amazing photos. I am so grateful that I got to be a part of this gorgeous couple’s important day.
