Chelsey + Carter | Peterborough Wedding Photographer
Shortly after being hired as Chelsey and Carter’s Peterborough wedding photographer, I met them in person for their at-home engagement session. We had such a fun and easy-going shoot planned featuring what they love to do best… Eat pizza and cuddle together! It was so refreshing to do something so unique and true to this couple. I knew that their wedding was going to be filled with even more fun and authenticity. While their wedding was definitely fun it was also filled with lots of emotion and very close family bonds. The first look moment Chelsey shared with her father absolutely melted me. During the reception he told me how close they had always been and “I just love her so much.” Their day really was everything that warms your heart and brings a smile to your face. To say that I was happy to be a part of it is an understatement. One of my favourite moments of this Peterborough wedding was when Carter was overcome with emotion to the point that he surprised himself. Before the ceremony, he said confidently “No, I don’t think I’ll cry.” While his groomsmen hem and hawed around him. It was so moving to see him bare his soul, making it clear how much he loves his wife and family.

I thought that the vineyard/farm venue was so charming. We were surrounded by ducks, chickens, apple trees, and corn fields. It lent so well to the laid-back celebration they were going for. After their beautiful ceremony, they went around their cocktail hour with beaming smiles and so many big hugs for everyone. If the day couldn’t get any better when the sun went down the party really kicked off. All the love and light had been shared and now it was time to party! I have to stay I love a good dance party and all the crazy dance moves that get shown off. Carter was surprised yet again when Chelsey started rapping a Ludacris song word for word with her bestie. This group was so amazing and I would happily live this day over and over again. I feel so grateful and special to have shared in all the amazing emotions. Thank you Chelsey + Carter!
