Ancaster Mill Wedding Photos

When Shannon contacted me to capture her Ancaster Mill wedding photos I was so excited and honoured. We went to elementary school followed by high school together. Being the new kids at a different high school we stuck together. We bonded over our mutual love of art and creativity. Eventually, we made our own friend groups but always kept in touch. Alex was a member of Shannon’s new friend group and became quick friends. However, it was until after school that they began dating. Being asked to be a part of their day was so special for me. Especially because I got to see people from school that I hadn’t seen since. Additionally, I photographed Amanda, her maid of honour, wedding who is also a school friend of mine.

I started off the day with Alex getting ready with his family and best friends. It was such a fun atmosphere as everyone was joking around and having fun. Afterwards, I continued to the Ancaster Mill wedding venue to photograph Shannon getting ready in their bridal suite. I was so excited to shoot at this venue because I’ve seen many beautiful images produced there. Also, the wedding chapel which is used for ceremonies is absolutely stunning. The large fireplace was such a vibe on the cold spring day. Upon completing their marriage ceremony we made lovely photos on the property. What I love about this couple is that they are so goofy and affectionate towards each other. Being a part of my old friend’s very important day was such a gift.
