Newcastle Community Hall Wedding Photos

Above all, being a cold late October day, we took a lot of the Newcastle Community Hall wedding photos inside. I’m glad that we had such a lovely venue with so much character to work with. Marie and Travis’ wedding ceremony and reception decor was drop dead gorgeous. They held their entire wedding day at the Newcastle Community Hall including their ceremony. My favourite part of the decor was a vintage motorcycle complete with a sidecar that their guests could pose for a caricature artist in. One of the couple’s priorities for their wedding day was to make sure that their guests would have a great time. They even stayed true the hall’s vintage nature by also having a live swing band up on the stage. Newcastle Town Hall is definitely one of my favourite wedding venues in all of Durham Region.

I just love the historic building complete with exposed brick, intricate wood accents and large windows that allow lots of light to flow in. Not only was this wedding beautiful but it was also a family affair with the couple’s three children in attendance. Twice their youngest daughter couldn’t help but run up to her parents, during the vows and the first dance. I love seeing young kids being able to attend their parent’s wedding and be such a big part of it. I feel like it’s such a special moment that will stick with them no matter how young they are. Travis’ dad also officiated for them which made it that much more personal. Thanks so much for including me in your wedding celebration and toughing it out in the cold, Marie and Travis. It was an honour to capture it for you.
