Where to Have a Wedding in the Kawarthas
Through my own research, I have been finding out where to have a wedding in the Kawarthas can be quite challenging. That why I have put together this post for the brides and grooms out there who may be looking. Keep an eye on my blog as I dive deeper into other hidden wedding venue gems that I manage to find in the Kawartha Lakes region. Best of luck! 🙂

Elmhirst is a Kawartha cottage resort open all year long located 90 minutes east of Toronto on Rice Lake. The resort practices farm to table which is always a plus for the bride and groom looking for an eco-friendly wedding venue. This is a great venue for the couple looking for outdoor wedding venues in the Kawarthas. Interesting services that this Kawartha Lakes wedding venue offers are horse drawn carriages/sleighs, a float plane entrance, and spa pampering. They can also provide you with a rehearsal BBQ, horses for riding on their trails and evening bonfires. Beachwood Resort, Lakefield
Beachwood Resort is located on Deer Lake the lower region of Lower Buckhorn Lake in Lakefield Ontario. Just a 20-minute drive from Peterborough and 2 hours from Pearson International Airport. This high-end Kawartha getaway resort is an awesome option for the couple looking to have a relaxing and nature-filled wedding celebration with their family and friends. A big thing that stood out to me when researching Beachwood Resort was that they have a Green Policy and were rewarded with The Environmental Award. A few things they did to earn this award was: switching to salt water pools, paperless reservation system, and air drying bedding. This Kawartha Lakes wedding venue strikes me as having great potential with its borders of trees, stunning lake and countless amenities.
