There may not be as many Durham Region wedding venues compared to our big neighbour Toronto but there are still plenty of gems. Whether you’re looking for a barn, golf course, historic home, art gallery, banquet hall, greenhouse, or brewery there is something just for you. Below I have made a large list of wedding venues Durham Region with a few of my favourites explained in more detail. I hope you find your dream wedding location!

Parkwood Estate

Parkwood Estate is a national historic site in Downtown Oshawa built in the 1920s. This venue offers 7 different areas on the property for ceremonies. Those areas include The Sunken Garden, South Lawn, Japanese Garden, Tennis Court, Formal Garden, Arbour and Italian Garden. Ceremony pricing starts at $1000 up to $3500. Capacities are 15 – 150 guests. You can even use this location just for your wedding photography and use another venue for your ceremony and reception.

Deer Creek Golf Course

Deer Creek is a modern wedding venue in North Ajax that offers two outdoor ceremony spaces with beautiful gazebos and walls of trees. Ceremonies at the gazebos are $1500. Wedding reception pricing starts at $190 per guest (in-house catering) with a minimum required spend of $21000. They offer six newly renovated reception spaces with capacities from 125 – 550. Being an active golf course you are limited to the areas where you can take your wedding photos. However, there are still 7 stunning spots you and your photographer can take a golf cart to.

Rolling Acres

Rolling Acres in Bowmanville offers a stunning outdoor ceremony space featuring a gazebo, pond and wall of trees. This venue is a one-stop shop as the rest of the property offers endless backdrops for your wedding photographs. The venue fee starts at $2995 (depending on Fri, Sat, or Sun) with a minimum of 50 guests. To use the outdoor ceremony space it is $895. Cocktail hour services begin at $.7.95 per person. In-house catering begins at $39.95 per guest. They also offer a late-night food station at $11.95 per person. Set ceremony time options are 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm.

Royal Ashburn Golf Course

The Royal Ashburn is a gorgeous venue located in north Whitby. The ceremony fee is 1200 Capacities run from 150 – 180. They offer four different spots. They offer two main reception rooms with three smaller rooms available for intimate weddings. Catering fees range from $175 – $220 per guest. There is a venue fee of $1000. My favourite part about this venue is that they offer a firework service to end your big day with a bang! For your information, if you book a photographer, DJ, decorator or music you may have to pay a $250 security deposit fee. Like other golf courses mentioned on this list, it is an active club with golf being played on your day. Therefore, you are limited to the spot you are allowed to take wedding photos for safety reasons.

Pathways on Pleasure Valley – Wedding Venues Durham Region

This venue offers a whopping 225-acre property filled with serene forest, meadows and horse trails. The perfect place to have your nature-inspired outdoor ceremony! Tucked in the middle of the estate is a secluded, modern 1800 sq. ft reception space with large windows. The space seats 70 guests seated and 100 standing. The minimum requirement is 25 guests. Are you an eco-friendly bride or groom? Check out this amazing fact! This little venue runs on its own solar-powered system! Unfortunately, this venue is only available from May – October.

Old Flame Brewery – Durham Region Wedding Venue

The Old Flame is located in the historical Ontario Carriage Building which was built in 1874. It is both industrial and trendy. This venue is perfect for the beer-loving foodie couple! Private event pricing starts at $2500. The maximum capacity is 140 guests. However, due to the layout of the venue, they don’t offer catering or the traditional seated dinner. This gives you the freedom to choose an outside catering company whose food you truly love. They do have a patio with seating but it may not offer enough for every guest to sit at the same time. they have a minimum bar tab of $1000. Sneak down to the waterfront at sunset to create romantic wedding photos with your photographer!
