Newcastle Engagement Photography
We had so much fun capturing Kathleen and Adam’s Newcastle engagement photography on the lakefront in Newcastle. It was their first professional shoot and I feel so lucky that they chose me. They also did an incredible job of flashing their smiles and acting super cute. I had never thought of Wilmot Creek for engagement photos but man, was it a gorgeous location. It was right on the lake with the lovely rocky beach, a pond nearby and lots of large trees. A perfect combination for Newcastle engagement photography! 🙂 And of course, photographed at my favourite time of day. Golden Hour! Can’t wait for their snowy January 2017 wedding!
Newcastle Engagement Photography – Adam & Kathleen: Their Story
Kathleen and Adam met through mutual friends during a casual hang out at the local downtown bar. They chatted and went on about hanging with their friends, not much happening after that. Later that week Kathleen saw Adam driving down her street and waved him over. They found out then that it wasn’t just Kathleen’s street he was driving down, it was his too! What were the chances of that? “I couldn’t get rid of him once he knew where I lived.” she said. They didn’t know it yet but for years they were living just a few doors down from the love of their life.
I’ve heard people say that if someone stays a part of your life for 7 years that your relationship will last forever. Well, it’s fifteen years later and this couple is still by each other’s side. I think it’s safe to say they are inseparable! I guess Kathleen was right about not being able to get rid of him.
Update: Kathleen was secretly pregnant at this time and she hadn’t announced it to her friends. I felt honoured to be trusted with her secret and photograph an extra special time in their relationship.
